Apple has a new all time champion.
After already being crowned Apple TV’s biggest drama launch ever, Pluribus has now hit an even bigger milestone. Apple has officially confirmed that the Vince Gilligan led series is the most watched show in Apple TV history. Full stop.
That means it has surpassed everything. Ted Lasso. Severance. The Morning Show. Slow Horses. All of them.
Busy day at Apple.
The announcement landed on the same day F1 The Movie shot to the top of Apple TV’s movie charts, making it clear that the service is having one of its strongest moments yet. Apple celebrated the milestone with a post on X, confirming that Pluribus now sits at the very top of its streaming leaderboard.
As usual, Apple isn’t sharing exact viewership numbers, so we don’t know how many people are watching. But context matters. Apple TV doesn’t hand out records lightly, and it has produced multiple cultural hits over the years. For Pluribus to climb past them all in just a few weeks is a huge deal.
The hype makes sense. This is Vince Gilligan’s first major project since Better Call Saul, and expectations were sky high from the start. Clearly, audiences showed up in force.
Season one of Pluribus wraps up its nine episode run on December 26. A second season is already locked in under Apple’s original two season commitment.
If this momentum holds, Pluribus may end up being more than just Apple TV’s biggest show yet. It could be the one that defines the service.
