The Paramount Plus Essential plan, which includes ads, is now just $30 for an entire year instead of the usual $60. If you want the ad-free Premium tier (still with ads on live TV), that’s $60 for the year rather than $120. Both new and returning subscribers can take advantage of this promo, which runs through September 18. The only catch is you’ll have to pay the full year up front, as monthly billing stays at the regular price.
That’s a substantial discount, especially compared to rivals like Apple TV+, Disney+, and Netflix, all of which have either raised prices or cut back on perks recently. Paramount’s catalog isn’t thin, either. Star Trek fans in particular will find plenty to love, with access to new series like Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks, plus the full archive of past Trek shows. And of course, Paramount Plus has its lineup of movies, live sports, and other originals to pad things out.
One thing to keep in mind: after the first year, your subscription reverts to the normal $60 or $120 annual rate, depending on which plan you choose. So if you’re only in it for the deal, set a reminder to cancel before renewal time sneaks up on you.
