Maya Rudolph is back. Apple TV+ just announced that Loot Season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, October 15, kicking off the season with two episodes. Weekly drops will follow every Wednesday through December 10, and judging by the teaser, Molly Wells is just getting started.

Apple TV+ Is on a Comedy Roll

It’s been a strong year for Apple TV+ when it comes to comedy. The Studio landed early praise. Stick with Owen Wilson is wrapping its first season on a high note. Platonic with Seth Rogen is set to return looking sharper than ever. And now, Loot joins the lineup as one of the most anticipated comedies of the fall.

If you’re a fan of sharp writing, high-budget laughs, and a surprisingly grounded emotional arc, Loot has probably been on your radar since Season 1.

Season 3: Where We Left Off, and What’s Coming Next

In case you missed it, Loot stars Maya Rudolph as Molly Wells, a newly divorced billionaire who receives an $87 billion settlement and tries to find herself again—this time through philanthropy.

Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger: Molly, reeling from backlash among fellow billionaires and an awkward “will-they-won’t-they” moment with her colleague Arthur (Nat Faxon), climbs aboard her private jet and orders her assistant Nicholas (Joel Kim Booster) to take her anywhere but here.

According to Apple, Season 3 picks up with Molly fully embracing her leadership role at the Wells Foundation. The teaser shows her grounded but still glamorous, navigating philanthropy, romantic uncertainty, and the chaos of rebranding her life—all with a hilarious, self-aware edge.

Maya Rudolph Is the Heart of the Show

What makes Loot work so well is Maya Rudolph’s pitch-perfect blend of comedic timing and genuine vulnerability. She makes Molly both outlandish and lovable, and her dynamic with Joel Kim Booster remains one of the show’s biggest strengths.

Add to that the slow-burn chemistry with Arthur, the tension with her elite social circle, and the always-welcome ensemble cast (including Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and Ron Funches), and Season 3 feels like it’s set to deliver the show’s richest season yet.

Mark Your Calendar

Loot Season 3 premieres October 15 on Apple TV+ with two episodes, followed by weekly releases. It’s the first major comedy confirmed for October, with big titles like Slow Horses, The Morning Show, and F1: The Movie expected to land shortly after.

For fans of Loot or Apple TV+ comedies in general, this is one to keep your eye on.

Also keep a look out for new seasons from Ted Lasso and Shrinking.
