How To Watch Apple’s ‘Surprise And Shine’ Event Today: US And UK Start Times And Live Stream Links

The event has ended. Apple announced the iPhone Duo at $1,999, the iPhone 18 Pro at $1,199 and Pro Max at $1,299, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, and AirPods 5. iOS 27 arrives Monday 14 September. Everything, in the order it happened, is in our live blog, and the full foldable detail is in our iPhone Duo pricing and specs write-up. The replay is on the links below.

One o’clock Eastern. Ten in the morning on the West Coast. Six in the evening in London. That is when Apple’s biggest launch in years goes live, and for once the timing works for almost everybody.

Apple is streaming its “Surprise and Shine” event from Apple Park on Wednesday 9 September at 10:00am PDT / 1:00pm EDT, which is 6:00pm BST in the UK. It is expected to bring the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, Apple’s first foldable iPhone, new Apple Watch models, and possibly AirPods 5. It is also the first product launch under new chief executive John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook at the start of the month.

Here is every way to watch it, and what time it starts wherever you are. We will also be running a live blog throughout the keynote if you would rather read than watch.

Watch On The Apple Events Website

The simplest option. Head to apple.com/apple-events in any browser when the event starts and the stream will be there.

It works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and every other mainstream browser, on a Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad or Android device. You can visit the page now and add a calendar reminder so you do not miss the start.

Watch On YouTube

Apple is streaming the event live on its official YouTube channel, and for most people this is the easiest route.

YouTube runs on effectively everything: phones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, Fire Sticks, Chromecast, PlayStation, Xbox. If you want the keynote on the big screen in the living room without faffing about with AirPlay, this is how to do it.

The placeholder video is already up. Click through and hit “Notify me” to get an alert when the stream goes live.

Watch In The Apple TV App

Apple retired its standalone Apple Events app back in 2020 and folded the coverage into the Apple TV app instead. On event day a dedicated section for the live stream appears at the top of the app.

That covers the Apple TV box, iPhone, iPad and Mac, plus a long list of smart TVs, streaming sticks and games consoles that carry the Apple TV app. If you own an Apple TV, this is the best-looking way to watch, and it supports picture-in-picture so you can keep working while it runs.

The event section had not appeared in the app at the time of writing, but Apple usually adds it a few hours before showtime.

What To Expect

The foldable is the headline. Apple’s first dual-screen iPhone has been rumoured for years and is finally arriving, with reporting on the eve of the event suggesting it will be called the iPhone Duo rather than the iPhone Ultra that most people had penned in.

Alongside it, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected with the A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process, and a variable aperture main camera. There is no standard iPhone 18 this year, with the cheaper models reportedly pushed back to spring 2027. New Apple Watch models are also on the cards, along with a possible AirPods refresh, and iOS 27 release dates should be confirmed before the credits roll.

Follow Along With Us

If you cannot watch live, or you would rather read than sit through 90 minutes of it, our live blog will carry the announcements as they happen. US and UK pricing, availability and pre-order dates will follow as soon as Apple publishes them, and we will have full write-ups on every product within the hour.

Are You Watching Live?

A lunchtime keynote on the East Coast and a mid-morning one in California is about as convenient as Apple events get, so are you watching live or catching up afterwards? And which announcement are you actually here for, the foldable or the 18 Pro? Let us know in the comments.
