Apple TV is closing out its biggest year yet with a packed December lineup. The service is dropping a major blockbuster movie, a new kids and family special, a nature docuseries and fresh episodes of some of its most talked-about shows. If you’re already subscribed or thinking about signing up, December might be one of the best months to jump in.
Here’s what Apple TV has coming your way.
The First Snow of Fraggle Rock

Premieres December 5
Movie | Kids & Family
The Fraggles are back for a brand new holiday adventure. In The First Snow of Fraggle Rock, everyone is eagerly waiting for the first snowfall of the season and all the traditions that come with it. But when a single lonely snowflake falls and nothing else follows, everything feels off.
Gobo tries to write the annual holiday song but can’t find the inspiration he needs. That sends him on a surprising journey to the human world, or as the Fraggles call it, Outer Space. Meanwhile, the Gorgs face their own challenge as Junior adjusts to the arrival of a brand new baby Gorg. The special mixes music, warmth and the message that holiday moments don’t need to be perfect to be meaningful.
F1 The Movie

Premieres December 12
Movie | Sports Drama
This is Apple TV’s big one for December. F1 The Movie stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a rising Formula 1 star in the 1990s whose career nearly ends after a brutal track accident. Thirty years later, he’s drifting through life when his former teammate Ruben Cervantes, played by Javier Bardem, begs him to join his collapsing F1 team for a last shot at redemption.
Hayes is paired with the team’s bold new rookie Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris. From there, the movie goes full throttle with racing drama, personal rivalry and the reminder that in F1, no one climbs back to the top alone. With huge action sequences and a cast built for intensity, this is set to be one of Apple’s biggest streaming releases of the year.
Born to Be Wild

Premieres December 19
TV Show | Docuseries
Narrated by Hugh Bonneville from Paddington and Downton Abbey, Born to Be Wild is a six-part nature series that follows six young endangered animals from early life to the moment they re-enter the wild.
The series features everything from elephant calves and cheetah siblings to a ring-tailed lemur pup, a moon bear cub, Iberian lynx kittens and even rescued African penguins. Each episode highlights the people working around the clock to raise, rehabilitate and reintroduce these animals to their natural habitats. It’s emotional, intimate and easily one of Apple TV’s most moving releases of the month.
