Apple has quietly locked in its next big movie release.

Eternity, the A24 romantic fantasy that debuted in theaters late last year, is officially coming to Apple TV+ on Friday, February 13, 2026. That puts it right in Apple’s now-familiar Valentine’s Day slot, the same window that worked so well for The Gorge last year.

And if Apple is trying to make February its home for emotionally devastating romance, it’s off to a strong start.

What Eternity Is About

The film stars Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner in what can only be described as a very Apple TV kind of story. High concept. Emotional. Just a little existential.

Here’s Apple’s official synopsis:

In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Miles Teller) and her first love (Callum Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.

Yes, it’s a love triangle.

Yes, it’s set in the afterlife.

And yes, it’s designed to emotionally wreck you right on schedule.

Why This Release Is a Little Unusual

What makes Eternity interesting for Apple isn’t just the cast or the concept. It’s the way the film arrived.

When Eternity hit theaters in late 2025, it didn’t look like an Apple movie at all. The marketing was entirely A24, with no visible Apple TV+ branding. For most people, it just felt like another A24 indie with big stars and a weirdly compelling hook.

That’s not how Apple usually plays this.

Last year, the only wide theatrical release Apple really put its name on was F1, which ended up becoming the company’s biggest theatrical hit to date. Everything else was either day-and-date or clearly labeled as an Apple Original.

Eternity slipped through in a much quieter way.

Now Apple gets to give it a second life, this time as a streaming exclusive.

Why February Makes Sense

Apple has figured something out about mid-February.

It’s a dead zone for big theatrical releases. People are tired of awards season. And everyone is either leaning into Valentine’s Day or aggressively ignoring it.

Dropping a romantic afterlife comedy right then is kind of perfect.

If The Gorge proved anything last year, it’s that Apple TV+ can own this window. And Eternity feels like it was made for couch watching, not multiplex crowds.

The Bigger Apple TV+ Picture

Eternity also fits neatly into Apple’s stacked early-2026 lineup.

It lands just weeks after Tehran season three, alongside returning seasons of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and The Last Thing He Told Me, and right before Apple starts rolling out brand-new shows in March.

This isn’t a one-off movie drop. It’s part of Apple’s strategy to keep something new arriving almost every week.

Whether you saw Eternity in theaters or skipped it the first time around, it’s about to get its biggest audience yet.

And yes, Apple absolutely wants you to cry on February 13.
