It’s happening: the Apple Store is officially down, which can only mean one thing, new products are about to drop. Just hours before Apple’s “Awe dropping” September 9 event, Apple has pulled its online storefront, a tradition that signals big hardware is on the way.

So, what’s coming once the store lights back up? Here’s what to expect.

iPhone 17 Lineup: Four Models, One Bold New Air

The star of the show will be the iPhone 17 family, featuring:

  • iPhone 17: Bigger display, ProMotion, always-on screen, and a new 24MP selfie camera.
  • iPhone 17 Air: The ultra-thin newcomer (just 5.5mm thick!) with a single rear camera. It looks stunning, but battery life could be its tradeoff.
  • iPhone 17 Pro: All-new camera bar design, A19 Pro chip, and upgraded telephoto system.
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max: Same upgrades as the Pro, plus a thicker build for longer battery life.

The iPhone 17 Air is the one to watch, it’s Apple’s riskiest design experiment since the mini.

⌚ Apple Watch Series 11 + Ultra 3

On the wrist, Apple is readying two big updates:

  • Series 11: A modest upgrade with a faster S-chip, new modem, and possibly blood-pressure features (if Apple’s ready to launch them).
  • Ultra 3: More dramatic, bigger, brighter display, satellite connectivity, 5G, and a new S11 chip for faster performance.

The entry-level Apple Watch SE may also see a small refresh with a faster processor and larger displays.

AirPods Pro 3 With Health Features

AirPods Pro 3 are set to finally arrive, and the big rumor is health tracking. Expect:

  • Built-in heart rate monitoring during workouts
  • A tweaked design for better comfort
  • New H3 chip (still debated, but likely) with audio and ANC improvements
  • A redesigned charging case with a capacitive button, like AirPods 4

In 2026, an even more advanced version with infrared cameras is expected, but for now, AirPods Pro 3 mark the biggest upgrade since 2022.

Wild Cards Apple Could Tease

While iPhones, Watches, and AirPods are all but guaranteed, there’s chatter about other products Apple might slip into today’s event:

  • M5 iPad Pro (earlier than expected)
  • Vision Pro refresh with a new strap and chip bump
  • AirTag 2 with a stronger Ultra Wideband chip
  • HomePod mini 2 with Wi-Fi 6E
  • Apple TV 4K refresh

Most likely, these arrive in October, but don’t rule out a surprise.

What Happens Next?

If Apple sticks to its usual schedule:

  • Preorders for iPhone 17 open Friday, Sept 12
  • Launch day for iPhones and Watches lands Friday, Sept 19
  • iOS 26, watchOS 26, and more roll out in between

For now, all eyes are on Apple Park, where we’ll find out exactly what’s behind the blackout.

Closing

The Apple Store is down, a sure sign that Apple’s about to unleash a tidal wave of new hardware. From the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air to AirPods Pro 3 with health sensors and a rugged new Apple Watch Ultra 3, this could be Apple’s biggest September event in years.

When the store comes back online, the future of Apple’s lineup will look very different.
